Our Mission

Seeking to put God’s love into action, Tulsa Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

Our Vision

A world where everyone has a place to live.

Our Approach

Tulsa Habitat for Humanity does not give away homes. Instead, we provide access to the opportunity of homeownership for hardworking, deserving individuals and families in our community. Through home sponsorships, individual donations and volunteer time, we build quality, affordable and attractive homes. These homes are sold to families through affordable loans. In addition to paying for their homes, home-buyers work side-by-side with sponsors and volunteers to help build their own and other Tulsa Habitat homes. All home-buyers complete our Homeowners College, an intensive series of courses including credit management, individualized debt counseling, money management, basic home repair, mortgages and lending process, escrow and taxes, legalities of homeownership and more.

All Are Welcome

Tulsa Habitat for Humanity has an open-door policy. All who believe everyone needs quality, affordable places to live are welcome to help with the work, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views or any of the other distinctions too often dividing people. In short, Tulsa Habitat welcomes volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds and also serves people in need of decent housing regardless of race or religion. As a matter of policy, Habitat for Humanity International and its affiliated organizations do not proselytize. This means Habitat will not offer assistance on the expressed or implied condition people must either adhere to or convert to a particular faith, or listen and respond to messaging designed to induce conversion to a particular faith.
